Misunderstanding...

Ovviamente il caching DNS lo tengo sempre on. Quindi e` proprio *lui*
che mi fa da cache. Ed avendolo sotto tetto e` "geograficamente molto
close to me" o per lo meno closer than Alice :-)

E` chiaro che non ha senso andare a fare i lookup *direttamente* sui
root dns per i vari motivi che il tuo amico ti sta spiegando.
